not the kind of trip I wanted to take

I guess I should chronicle my odyssey. I have been given quite a few calendars and journals. I think that is what they are for. I don' t know if I am lucky or unfortunate. There seems to be missing pieces. Maybe I need to document these things and that is how I might find the answers. I am beginning to forget details so it might be good to put down here what I remember so far.

Friday Feb 27 - tummy problems that have been bothering me for awhile are so bad, Danny takes me to ER. PCP comes in to see me and says it looks like ovarian cancer. I stay until Sunday morning.

Monday Mar 2 - appt with oncologist in Indy. more tests. more tests scheduled.

Surgery scheduled for March 12

Thursday, March 12 - Surgery at Clarian North. Hysterectomy, ovaries removed, nodes sectioned, appedix taken. Need to wait 10 days for pathology report.

cancer

it floats in quietly, so easy to not hear, so easy to not let the brain understand.
the word - cancer.

Is this my new life destination, facing yet another bullet that I had thought I had dodged by living past 50?

I'm back! I'm back!

Right now I just wanted to post my twitter info. Something new for me to "play with" this holiday season. Seems like this time of year I have more indoor time to fuss with stuff on the computer, maybe make new friends, etc.

anyway,

looks like I have a lot more to do on this. Any and all suggestions welcome!

washcloth patterns

I try to be organized. Honest. I do.

I am just not very good at "documenting" my knitting. Sure, I start off with pen and pad to work things out. And have a lot of false starts. When I do get it right, I don't believe it until I have washed and used the item and by that time I have forgotten what I have done.

well, I am very happy with this new washcloth so here I am ~ writing it down somewhere I might not lose it!

My pattern for Cotton Rich ~ tried and tested!

yarn: Cascade Cotton Rich
needle size: 7

CO 35 sts
Rows 1 - 7: seed stitch
First and last 5 stitches will be in seed stitch border.

Row 8: Knit
Row 9: Purl
Row 10: knit
Row 11: Knit

Continue until you have 10 "sections"

seed stitch next 7 rows for border & bind off.

Uses one whole skein and makes a nice size cloth.

photos later!

is it July already?

sigh,

sigh,

sigh,

the past few months have put me on an emotional roller coaster. Changing jobs, trouble with kids, dh losing job, finding job, losing job. Since my last job was as sub teacher, I'm not working either.

our house is on the market, but no one is looking. i tried to go with our 2nd realtor first, but fate wasn't fooled. it's been 3 weeks and they still haven't put the correct pictures of our house on their website.

i need a comfort blankie for me, just me. Something soft, colorful.
